Hi, I’m Brynne Karees. A nurse, tech exec, and now, romantic fantasy author.​ ​

Diagnosed at 30 with a life-altering autoimmune disease, doctors told me that I only had 15 years to live.

I took the photo for this website on my 46th birthday — having officially outlived my own expiration date.  ​

Now I’m stepping fully into a life I didn't think I'd get to keep.

Every word I write is a celebration of a day I didn’t think I would see.​​

Raised in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia and now living just outside Pittsburgh, I’m surrounded by the joyful chaos of my husband, our five incredible kids, two goofy rescue dogs, and one anxious but fiercely loving cat. ​

I write fantasy for anyone who’s ever faced real-life monsters but still dares to believe in healing, in magic, and in love that holds steady through even the stormiest nights. ​

My stories are rich with sisterhood, survival, second chances, and slow-burning connection; crafted for readers who want their romance to feel real, their magic to be meaningful, and their hope hard-earned.​
